Program Overview

Designed to parallel our residential program, the No. 1 DPT program in the nation according to U.S. News & World Report (2020), the Doctor of Physical Therapy Hybrid (DPT-Hybrid) option through the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences incorporates live, online didactic lectures with dynamic on-campus laboratory immersion experiences.

Integrated within the curriculum are 4 clinical educational experiences that engage students in 42 weeks of full-time clinical practice. Over the course of 7 academic terms,* you will foster the clinical competencies necessary to sit for the National PT Licensure Examination (NPTE) and become a practicing physical therapist.

*The estimated time to complete your degree depends upon the number of credit hours taken each semester.
